The Malagasy name Mandravasarotra (shortened to Saro) means "overcoming difficulties". A close relative of Ravintsara, Saro produces a well-tolerated essential oil with a scent of cinnamon and lemon. Mandravasarotra essential oil is recognized for its properties: broad-spectrum anti-infective - antiviral and antibacterial - mucolytic and expectorant - antifungal, antiparasitic - immunostimulant.
