HYALONE®, like all hyaluronic acids for intra-articular injections, is not reimbursed by Social Security.

Sterile sodium hyaluronate solution for intra-articular injection: Pre-filled syringe 60 mg/4 ml, blister-packed and sterilized with ethylene oxide, containing 60 mg sodium hyaluronate in 4 ml solution (ACL 3401060256296). The contents of the syringe are steam sterilized.

The product must only be injected by a healthcare professional trained in this technique.
Strictly observe all asepsis rules and the injection technique.
Aspirate any joint effusion before injecting Hyalone.
Further injections may be necessary to maintain the benefit of the treatment over time, according to the needs of each patient.
Inject Hyalone using a suitable sterile needle (e.g. 18 or 20 G).
When Hyalone is used in the hip, it is recommended to perform the injection under ultrasound control. This is not necessary when Hyalone is used in the knee.
As the outer surface of the syringe is also sterile, the product can be used in the operating theatre.

Do not inject :

in patients with known individual hypersensitivity to the product's components;
in the event of infection or skin disease at the injection site.

There is no evidence of contraindications to repeat treatment.

Store at between 15°C and 25°C.

Hyalone is a temporary synovial fluid substitute for patients with degenerative or mechanical arthropathy of the hip and knee, resulting in a functional change in synovial fluid without active synovitis.

Main constituent : sodium hyaluronate: 1.5%.
Other components : sodium chloride, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, monosodium phosphate dihydrate, water for injection.

Hyalone is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, viscoelastic solution containing high-molecular-weight sodium hyaluronate, obtained by bacterial fermentation. Hyaluronic acid, a polysaccharide belonging to the glycosaminoglycan family, occurs naturally in several human tissues such as cartilage and synovial fluid; it is continuously secreted into the inter-articular space and is an essential component of synovial fluid, to which it confers viscosity and elasticity properties. The viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid are fundamental to the lubrication and shock-absorbing functions of the healthy joint, protecting cartilage and soft tissue from mechanical damage. In traumatic or degenerative joint pathologies, insufficient hyaluronic acid in the synovial fluid and a drop in its viscosity lead to deterioration in joint function and painful symptoms. Literature data show that intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid can restore the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid, while relieving pain and improving joint mobility.

J'ai été extrêmement mécontent lorsque j'ai appris à la réception que les deux appareils HYALONE (Réf. Commande : APGIYBWWWO) expirent tous les deux dans moins de 3 mois (avril 2022). Sachant que les infiltrations se pratiquent à distance de 6 mois, il est évident que je ne pourrai pas utiliser la seconde. Par conséquent, je peux vous l'offrir gratuitement ou je peux le jeter… Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'une prestigieuse pharmacie française commette une telle erreur intentionnelle ou non.
