Specific References

Hair bleaching: apply 20-volume hydrogen peroxide to wet hair, parting by parting, using a cotton pad. Don't forget the roots. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Repeat applications two or three times a week until the desired color is achieved.
Lightening hair with blond highlights: use 20-volume hydrogen peroxide at a rate of two or three tablespoons in the shampoo rinse water.
Stain removal from long white hair:
(blood, wine, ink, fruit, coffee...)
Use 20-volume hydrogen peroxide diluted and only on white linen made from natural fibers.

The 20-volume stabilized hydrogen peroxide contains about 6% by weight of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and is capable of releasing about twenty times its volume of oxygen gas.
