Directly from our harvester in Oregon (USA). KLAMATH, from its Latin name "Afanizomenon flos Aquae" or AFA, takes its name from the lake in which it grows, Lake KLAMATH. With a surface area of 325km², at an altitude of 1200m, it is located in a protected area, surrounded to the north by a national park, to the south by a volcanic chain that enriches the water with oxygen and a multitude of minerals and trace elements, and to the west by a protected forest. Intense sunlight promotes photosynthesis, enabling rapid algal growth every year.

The first form of life to appear on earth, 3.8 billion years ago, Klamath offers a wide range of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, essential amino acids and fatty acids. But above all, it is unique in that it contains two active ingredients: phycocyanins, which have antioxidant properties, and PEA (PhenylEthylAmine), a mood-boosting neuromediator.

Klamath Safe® microalgae are dried using a spraying process at room temperature never exceeding 41°. This preserves all the active ingredients, in particular phycocyanins, which are destroyed above this temperature.
