Grown in Madagascar, Reunion, Guinea and Algeria, geranium is widely used in perfumery and cosmetology for its soft, sweet fragrance. The effectiveness of its essential oil is remarkable when applied directly to wounds to stop bleeding.

Specific References

  • External use: 2 drops of Egyptian geranium essential oil + 2 drops of hazelnut vegetable oil in local ointments for several weeks, for an anti-fungal, cosmetic and dermatological action.
  • Internal use: consult your doctor.
  • 2 drops of Egyptian geranium essential oil and 2 drops of cistus ladanifera essential oil on a cotton wick inserted into the nostril will quickly stop a nosebleed in adults.
  • For skin trauma : mix 3 drops of immortelle essential oil, 1 drop of wintergreen essential oil, 1 drop of geranium essential oil, 1 drop of peppermint essential oil. Apply 4 to 6 drops of the mixture 4 times a day locally to the painful area, for 3 days.
