Family: Hypericaceae
Part used: fresh flower Main constituents: oleic (omega 9) and linoleic (omega 6) acids, palmitic and stearic acids. Naphthodianthrones give it a red to brown color.
Plant info : A symbol of folk medicine, St John's Wort is one of the plants traditionally harvested on St John's morning. Its sunny yellow flowers were used to make ointments to soothe burns. St John's Wort oily macerate is obtained by macerating the flowers in sunflower oil.

Apply once or twice a day, massaging into affected areas of the body.
