HYALURON-FILLER Eye Contour SPF 15 targets the first signs of aging, such as "crow's feet" wrinkles in the delicate eye area. It visibly plumps even the deepest wrinkles, for younger-looking skin. It effectively prevents UV-induced photoaging (premature skin aging due to the sun), prevents wrinkles from becoming deeper and protects the skin from free radicals.

Its unique formula combining high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid, Glycine Saponin and Enoxolone offers a targeted approach to visibly fill in even the deepest wrinkles, for younger-looking skin. High-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid improves hydration and smoothes the upper layers of the skin, while low-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid, which is 40 times smaller, penetrates deeper into the layers of the epidermis where deeper wrinkles originate. Glycine Saponin, an anti-oxidant, supports Hyaluronic Acid production in the skin layer where the deepest wrinkles form, and protects against free radicals. Enoxolone prevents the breakdown of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin.

Glycine Saponin

Glycine Saponine, also known as glycine soy germ extract, is an active ingredient extracted from the soy bean. It is one of the most effective stimulators of Hyaluronic Acid in the cells of the skin's dermal layer, and has been proven to increase Hyaluronic Acid production at cellular level*.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is formed by skin cells and forms part of the skin's connective tissue. One of its key functions is to retain moisture, and it has the capacity to hold between 1,000 and 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e., one gram of Hyaluronic Acid holds between one and ten liters of water). As the skin ages, its natural ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid is depleted, and wrinkles begin to form and become deeper.

Enoxolone

Enoxolone, also known as Glycyrrhetinic Acid, is derived from the roots of Chinese licorice plants. It inhibits the Hyaluronic Acid-degrading enzyme Hyaluronidase (HYAL1), and therefore reduces the breakdown of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin.

How it works

At the heart of Eucerin's unique HYALURON-FILLER formula is a unique combination of high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid:

- High molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid (also known as long-chain Hyaluronic Acid) remains on the skin's surface to improve hydration of the outermost layer of the epidermis, where fine lines and wrinkles originate.
- Low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid molecules (also known as short-chain Hyaluronic Acid) are 40 times smaller than those of Hyaluronic Acid Low-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid molecules (also known as short-chain Hyaluronic Acid) are 40 times smaller1 than those of high-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid, and are therefore able to penetrate further into the epidermal layers, where they stimulate the skin's production of hyaluronic acid.

In most formulas, Hyaluronic Acid is combined with the bio-active antioxidant Glycine Saponin, which penetrates even deeper into the skin's dermal layers, stimulating Hyaluronic Acid production and replenishing the moisture at the origin of deeper wrinkles. What's more, it protects the skin from free radicals.

The new HYALURON-FILLER formula also contains Enoxolone, an active ingredient that slows the rate of Hyaluronic Acid degradation in the skin by inhibiting Hyaluronidase.

The result: 200% more Hyaluronic Acid.
Fine lines and wrinkles are visibly plumped. Skin is smoother, more radiant and younger-looking.
