BIOCYTE COLON RESTORE is a highly-dosed sodium butyrate-based DADFMS, specifically adapted to the nutritional needs of irritable bowel syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome is caused by an imbalance in the intestinal flora, which allows toxins to pass through the digestive tract. The main causes are emotional stress, poor diet, genetics and hormonal changes. The consequences are numerous, and can have a major impact on the daily lives of those affected, with significant disruption to the digestive system. Sodium butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid produced by the intestinal flora from plant fibers, whose role is to preserve the impermeability of the intestinal barrier. COLON RESTORE provides a high dosage of sodium butyrate, 1200mg per day, to help restore intestinal comfort and reduce irritable bowel symptoms.
