Do not use in cats weighing less than 2 kg.

Do not use in the event of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients.

a. Special precautions for use in animals

No studies have been carried out on severely weakened cats or those with significant renal or hepatic impairment. The product is not recommended in such cases, or only after evaluation of the benefit/risk ratio by the responsible veterinarian.

Treatment of dogs with a high number of circulating microfilariae may occasionally give rise to hypersensitivity reactions such as pale mucous membranes, vomiting, tremors, difficulty breathing or excessive salivation. These reactions are associated with the release of proteins from dead or dying microfilariae, and do not constitute a direct toxic effect of the product. Use in dogs with microfilaremia is therefore not recommended.

In the absence of data in cats with microfilaremia, the product should only be used after a benefit/risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.

As the tablets are flavored, keep them out of reach of pets.

b. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary drug to animals

Wash hands after use.

In the event of accidental ingestion of tablets, particularly by children, seek medical advice immediately and show the leaflet or label.

Replace opened tablets in the blister of the blister pack and return the pack to the outer packaging.

c. Other precautions

Echinococcosis is dangerous to humans. Echinococcosis is a disease notifiable to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Specific guidelines for treatment and monitoring, as well as personal protection, should be obtained from the relevant competent authority.

Animals must be weighed to ensure accurate dosing.

Minimum recommended dose: 2 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg bodyweight, administered as a single oral dose.

The product should be administered during or after meals.

The product is a small tablet.

To facilitate administration, the tablet is meat-flavored (film-coated).

Tablets can be divided into two halves.

Depending on the cat's weight, the dose to be administered is as follows:

Weight Tablets

2 - 4 kg 1/2 tablet

> 4 - 8 kg 1 tablet

> 8 - 12 kg 1½ tablets

The product can be integrated into a heartworm prevention program if treatment against cestodes is also administered. The product prevents heartworm disease for one month.

For heartworm prevention, it is preferable to use a drug containing only one active substance.
