Hamamelis (Hamamelis virginiana) is also of interest in phytotherapy, where it is traditionally used for its benefits to the circulatory system, notably by protecting small vessels and capillaries and improving venous return, which helps restore a feeling of light legs.

This shrub is native to coastal North America, where it grows abundantly in Canada and the northeastern United States (Pennsylvania, Virginia). It is cultivated in our gardens, generally for its ornamental qualities.
