Harpagophytum is recognized for its beneficial action on joint function and helps maintain good mobility.
It is a plant used in traditional African pharmacopoeia. We use its secondary roots, which are the parts richest in beneficial active ingredients.
Harpagophytum is a perennial, creeping plant specific to southern Africa. Its nickname, "devil's claw", comes from its fruits, which have curved hooks that appear to emerge from the earth.
