Originally from Europe, mints have spread across the globe to North America, Australia and Japan. Cultivated since antiquity for their medicinal properties, they were found in an Egyptian tomb dating back to the year 1000. Mentha arvensis is a species of mint belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is a herbaceous plant with a strong aromatic scent, 10 to 60 cm tall, with whorled flowers in the leaf axils. Leaves are oval, pointed and toothed. This perennial flowers from July to September and likes ditches, swamps and damp meadows.

External use : for dental pain, make a mouthwash with 3 drops of spearmint essential oil + 12 drops of a dispersant in half a glass of lukewarm water.
Internal use: consult your doctor.
On a daily basis, a few drops of spearmint essential oil diluted in hazelnut vegetable oil can be applied locally for fatigue, hepatic and nephritic colic, motion sickness, toothache, migraines, headaches, sinusitis, etc
