What is milk thistle?

Milk thistle is a biennial herbaceous plant that can grow up to 1 m high. It has bright green leaves mottled with white and edged with thorns. In summer, tubular, crimson-pink flowers grow from the top of its sturdy stem, surrounded by prickly bracts. Fruits are black and rough. Native to the Mediterranean basin, it prefers dry, sunny, uncultivated soil, and does not grow above 700 m altitude.

Where does the milk thistle in Phytobiane come from?

We have selected certified organic milk thistle grown in France, in the Drôme region.

The fruits are harvested after 2 years to ensure they are sufficiently rich in active ingredients. Our milk thistle extract is then produced in France. We apply a specific extraction process to each plant to extract the PiLeJe Phyto-Signature Complex (PSCC), guaranteeing its biological activity.
