Ophtaxia Ocular Solution is designed for eye washing. It removes foreign bodies from the eye, as well as allergens and irritants.

The cornea is richly innervated. This explains why the presence of even the tiniest foreign body can be very unpleasant, causing pain, redness and watering. In addition, our eyes are sometimes irritated when we look at screens for long periods, work in a smoky room, or by heating or air conditioning. Finally, allergens or germs can cause eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the conjunctiva.
Eyewash with Ophtaxia eye solution gently cleanses the eyes. It soothes irritation and removes pollutants and foreign bodies. It also removes chlorinated water from the eye (pool water).
Ophtaxia solution can also be used in an emergency to remove any irritating substances. It is supplied with an eyepiece for sterile eye bathing.

If a blinker is used

Rinse the blinker with OPHTAXIA just before and after each use.
Avoid contamination of the rim and inside of the eyecup.
Half-fill the eyecup with OPHTAXIA.
Tilt head forward, hold blinker by base and apply to eye, applying gentle pressure to prevent product leakage.
Slowly raise the head and tip it backwards.

If the blinker is not used, the solution is gently instilled onto the surface of the eye after exerting slight pressure on the bottle.

sterile isotonic solution containing boric acid, sodium borate, sodium chloride and purified water, preservatives: 0.025% edetate disodium and 0.1% sorbic acid.

Remove contact lenses before using the solution.
To prevent contamination, avoid contact with the tip of the container.
Replace cap after use.
Do not use solution if it has changed color or is cloudy.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use beyond the expiration date shown on the outer packaging and on the bottle.
Dispose of unused solution 3 months after opening.
Do not use if tamper-evident ring is broken or missing.
IMPORTANT: In the event of onset, persistence or worsening of irritation, excessive tearing or visual disturbance, discontinue use and consult an ophthalmologist immediately
