The oEMINE P.S.O. shampoo shampoo is recommended for soothing scalp flaking. With essential oils of juniper and rosemary, and a very gentle cleansing base with shea butter and jojoba.

Dandruff is caused by a rapid renewal of scalp cells. Dead cells break off and form squames, small clusters of cells that detach from the scalp. They can be found scattered throughout the hair and falling onto clothing.

Stress and the vitamin deficiencies it induces can be the cause. In fact, stress-induced vitamin B deficiency causes a change in the fatty acids of the scalp, in particular the phospholipids that form cell membranes. These fatty acids, which normally moisturize, become both irritating and drying. This irritates the cells, causing them to renew and fall out too quickly.
