This yellow compound, with its strong antioxidant power (its ability to intercept free radicals), is naturally present in many fruits, vegetables and plants. The best-known food source of quercetin is onions (particularly red onions), but it is also found in grapes, apples and blueberries, for example. Quercetin content is relatively high in peppers, capers and elderberries.
