Botanical appearance: Fine Lavender (or Lavender officinalis, also known as True Lavender) is distinguished by its narrow leaves and blue-violet spikes. Its fine, penetrating scent is the most renowned in perfumery. Native to southeastern France, it has been cultivated here for several centuries, and distillation has a long tradition.
