Widespread in the taiga from the Urals to China, this tall conifer (35 m high) can withstand Siberian temperatures as low as -50°C. The bright green needles yield an essential oil rich in rare molecules. Its balsamic aroma enhances eau de toilette, confectionery and tobacco. Siberian fir essential oil is recognized for its properties: spasmolytic - anti-infectious for the respiratory tract - relaxing, anti-inflammatory - soothing, relaxing - slightly sedative.
