Mepitel® is a tissue-friendly, two-sided interface dressing featuring Safetac technology - the exclusive interface for atraumatic wound removal and pain-free patient care. It offers selective adhesion. It does not adhere to the moist wound bed, and achieves gentle adhesion on dry skin for atraumatic wound removal. Which means less pain on removal for your patients
Safetac® technology protects scar tissue and preserves skin cells to maintain optimal healing conditions . Safetac® silicone coating reduces maceration by draining exudates vertically through micro-perforations, ensuring no lateral leakage.
The perforations allow exudate to progress towards a secondary absorbent dressing. So you can leave the interface in place while applying topical treatments with ease. Dressing integrity reduces the need to change the primary dressing frequently, and allows you to change the secondary dressing without interfering with the healing process.
- Healing in the best conditions - the interface can remain in place for several days (up to 14 days)
