Infusion: This preparation is recommended for leaves, flowers or flowering tops. To make a successful infusion, place your plants directly in cold water and bring to the boil. Off the heat, leave to infuse for around 10 minutes, covered (especially for aromatic plants containing volatile principles), then filter gently.
Decoction: Particularly recommended when using root stems or bark. Place your plants directly in cold water and bring to the boil. Boil for 5-10 minutes over low heat. Leave to infuse for a further ten minutes, then filter.
Maceration: Some plants can't stand high temperatures, so it's best to macerate them overnight in boiling water, then filter.
