Many soaps and shower gels contain harsh alkaline detergents which remove the lipids and moisturizing factors of the epidermis that form the skin's natural protective barrier, making it more prone to dryness and irritation. EUCERIN UreaRepair ORIGINAL Cleansing Gel 5% urea contains only mild cleansing agents and is therefore suitable for cleansing dry to extremely dry skin. What's more, it's enriched with urea and lactate, natural moisturizing factors that bind moisture in the stratum corneum (the top layer of the skin). Its ultra-gentle formula moisturizes the skin and protects its natural protective barrier function. This shower gel is therefore ideal for daily cleansing of dry or mature skin, or for people suffering from psoriasis or diabetes.
