Elgydium's fresh lemon whitening toothpaste is formulated mainly with micropulverized sodium bicarbonate. In this way, it is up to 5 times smaller than the "classic" crystals generally used, enabling it to penetrate enamel grooves more easily and therefore to have a finer action.
The use of sodium bicarbonate serves two purposes. Firstly, it has a chemical function : it acts on the food deposits present on and between teeth, dissolving them, which is very useful for combating cavities; it reduces tartar, limits acidity inside the mouth, and fights against the development of bacteria, which at the same time combats bad breath. Secondly, it has a mechanical function : its tiny grains act as a gentle abrasive on teeth, without damaging enamel.
Its lemon flavour adds a tangy touch to the toothpaste, helping to create a fresh mouthfeel, synonymous with fresh breath.

The effectiveness of Elgydium toothpaste on superficial tooth stains is visible within just 2 weeks of use, and is even reinforced once this period has elapsed. A tolerance and efficacy test was carried out by the Elgydium laboratories on 52 people over 28 days, resulting in 90% positive opinions about its rapid, long-lasting effectiveness.
