Use the hollow side of the brush to intensify, add volume and curl lashes.
Use the convex side of the brush to separate lashes and achieve zero clump definition.

For a more sophisticated result, after doing the 2nd eye, return to the 1st eye and reapply several coats, until the desired effect is achieved. (ditto for the 2nd eye)
