Do not use in the event of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients.

See also "Special precautions for use".

a. Special precautions for use in animals

Studies with milbemycin oxime indicate that the margin of safety in certain Colley dogs and related breeds is lower than in other breeds. In these dogs, the recommended dosage must be strictly adhered to.

The tolerability of the product in young puppies of these breeds has not been studied.

Clinical signs in Colleys are similar to those observed in overdosed dogs of other breeds (see also "Overdosage").

In accordance with good veterinary practice, animals should be weighed to ensure accurate dosing.

Treatment of dogs with large numbers of circulating microfilariae may occasionally give rise to hypersensitivity reactions such as pale mucous membranes, vomiting, tremors, difficult breathing or excessive salivation. These reactions are associated with the release of proteins from dead or dying microfilariae, and do not constitute a direct toxic effect of the product. The use of the product in dogs suffering from microfilaremia is therefore not recommended.

In areas affected by heartworm disease, or where it is known that a dog has been or will be visiting a high-risk area, a veterinary examination is recommended before using the product, to exclude the presence of any concomitant infestation of Dirofilaria immitis. In the event of a positive diagnosis, adulticide therapy is indicated before administering the product.

No studies have been carried out on severely debilitated dogs or those with significant renal or hepatic impairment. The product is not recommended in such cases, or only after assessment of the risk/benefit ratio by the responsible veterinarian.

Cestode infestations in dogs under 4 weeks of age are rare. Treatment of animals under 4 weeks of age with a combination product may not be necessary.

As the tablets are flavored, they should be stored in a safe place to avoid accidental ingestion.

b. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary drug to animals

Wash hands after use.

Replace the half-tablets in the blister pack, which must be returned to the outer packaging.

In the event of accidental ingestion of tablets, particularly by children, seek medical advice immediately and show the box or leaflet.

c. Other precautions

Echinococcosis is dangerous to humans. Echinococcosis is a disease notifiable to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Specific guidelines for treatment and follow-up, as well as personal protection, should be obtained from the relevant competent authority.

Oral administration.

Minimum recommended dose: 0.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg bodyweight, administered as a single oral dose.

Animals should be weighed to ensure accurate dosing.

The product should be administered during or after a meal.

The tablets are meat-flavored and easy to administer (dogs and puppies usually take them voluntarily, even without food).

Tablets can be divided into 2 equal parts.

Depending on the dog's weight, the dose to be administered is as follows:

Weight Tablets

0.5 - 1 kg 1/2 tablet

> 1 - 5 kg 1 tablet

> 5 - 10 kg 2 tablets

In cases where heartworm prevention is useful, and treatment against cestodes is required at the same time, the product can replace a monovalent product intended for heartworm prevention.

For treatment of Angiostrongylus vasorum infestations, administer milbemycin oxime 4 times at one-week intervals. When concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated, it is recommended to administer the product once and then continue treatment for the remaining three weeks with a monovalent product containing milbemycin oxime.

In endemic areas, if concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated, administration of the product every 4 weeks helps prevent angiostrongylosis by reducing the parasite load in immature adults (L5) and adults.

For the treatment of infestations by Thelazia callipaeda, milbemycin oxime should be administered in two treatments separated by 7 days. If concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated, the drug can replace the monovalent product containing milbemycin oxime alone.

A film-coated tablet contains :

Active substance(s):

Milbemycin oxime ........................................................ 2.5 mg

Praziquantel ................................................................... 25.0 mg
