Treatment of flea, tick and chewing lice infestations- Prevention of flea multiplication- Fipronil/(S)-MethopreneIndications : In dogs, dosage is defined according to body weight group (see "Dosage and route of administration"). Treatment of infestations by fleas alone or mixed infestations by fleas and ticks and/or chewing lice:
- Treatment of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides spp.). Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for 8 weeks. Prevents the multiplication of fleas by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) from eggs laid by adult fleas for 8 weeks after application.
- Treatment of tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product's acaricidal efficacy against ticks lasts up to 4 weeks.
- Treatment of infestation by chewing lice (Trichodectes canis). The drug can be integrated into a treatment program for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), when previously diagnosed by the veterinarian.
