Turmeric is grown throughout Asia, where it thrives in well-drained soils and humid climates. This herbaceous plant can reach 1.5 m in height. It has large, pale-green leaves with pointed tips and brown stripes on either side of the midrib.

The interesting part of Curcuma longa is its rhizome, which helps maintain joint flexibility and comfort. The plant is also used in cooking, particularly in curries, to which it adds color and aroma.

Black pepper is also a powerful ally when it comes to spicing up culinary preparations, provided you have a light touch of course.
