Cooper Actipoche Hot/Cold Knee is designed to soothe and relieve knee pain using heat or cold. The device works by thermotherapy, a method that relieves pain without the need for medication.
This heating pad is particularly suitable for athletes, after surgery, or to soothe muscle or joint pain associated with aches and pains or osteoarthritis.
Local heat activates blood circulation in a targeted area, promoting exchange and cell repair.
Cold acts on the blood vessels, which partially close (vasoconstriction), blocking the vasodilation observed during the inflammatory reaction. The oedematous phenomenon is thus reduced with the complementary pressure of the bag. Cold also short-circuits the pain message, preventing it from reaching the brain.
The shape of the Actipoche pocket is designed to fit snugly around the knee, and the hook-and-loop system of the protective cover ensures a secure fit.
Pain quickly disappears.
